Kanjiyum,cherupayaruthoranum chammathiyum

Kanji
Rice 1 cup,coconut milk 1/2 cup,ghee 1tspn,salt to taste
Cook rice in enough water to a soft texture,add salt,simmer flame,add coconut milk,
remove from flame when bubbles just appear.Serve with ghee.

Cherupayar thoran
Cherupayar(green lentils) 1 cup,
Cook lentils in a pressure cooker with reqd water and enough salt,keep aside.
Grind the following ingredients to get a coarse texture of mix.(arappu)
Grated coconut 1/2 cup,shallot 2,garlic 2 cloves,cumin seeds 1/4tspn,green chilly 1,
turmeric powder a pinch
For seasoning
Cooking oil 2tspn,mustard a pinch,dried chilly 1,curry leaf 1 sprig
Heat oil,drop in dried chilly,mustard seeds,allow to pop,add curry leaf,coconut mix,
stir well in low flame,add lentils,combine well,adjust salt,remove to serving bowl.

Thengachammanthy
Grated coconut 2 cups,kashmir chilly powder 1 tspn,shallots 3,ginger 1/2inch piece
green chilly 1,tamarind as reqd(if raw mango available,tamarind can be replaced),
salt to taste,curry leaf  as reqd

Grind all the ingredients except curryleaf in a blender to a coarse texture,finally add
curry leaf,adjust salt,it's ready..
